A superb sense of color with a very limited palette characterizes this oil on canvas of two women carrying food and water, presumably somewhere in the Near East. The painting is a mystery to me. I had it in my inventory from my Magazine Street gallery. While it is signed, if I ever had the artist's name, I no longer do. Anyway, a lovely little painting, I'm guessing from mid-20th century, based on the aging on back of the canvas (as shown).
