19th and Early 20th Century Art
For the purposes of this website, I define antique art as anything created before around 1950. I have dealt in art going back as far as the 17th century, but I specialize in traditional landscapes, still lifes, nudes and portraits from the late 19th century through early 20th. Some of the artists are more famous and highly “listed,” others less so. I try to encourage collectors to understand that a beautiful painting created by a largely unknown artist (or a painting that is unsigned) is no less beautiful than if it were painted by someone famous; it is merely more affordable. This being said, I have occasionally dealt in antique art valued at over $100,000, and you are encouraged to let me know if you are pursuing something extraordinary. As with all my art, I eliminate the substantial risks associated with buying antique paintings on your own – including forgeries, condition problems, refused returns and unpleasant surprises – by offering my unique 125% guarantee.
