I recall almost nothing about acquiring this painting, among the hundreds I have had over the past five years or so. I'm not even sure I ever knew who the painter was, but I remember really liking it when I first saw it. Quite obviously, the artist was (quite successfully) channeling Matisse and Picasso! This large nude is painted on a supported wood panel in a palette of blue, flesh and black. It's an awful lot of wall power for a very reasonable price, and priced this way only because the painter and background are now lost to me!
