Though this lake is certainly in the Ukraine where the painter lives, it reminds me so much of the summer lakes of my youth. Scudding clouds created a classic dappled Impressionistic reflection on the water. The afternoon light slants across the trunks of the trees on a bank that invites one to picnic, or even pitch a tent! The medium is oil on wood. This is a largish painting (horizontally) so it has a real presence to it.
