Armande de Greux

Seated Nude Male, 19th Century
19 x 12.50 in
A stunningly powerful drawing of a male nude, seated on a blanket on a knob of rock. I have provided the artist's name as it was given to me by the dealer, but I can find nothing at all about him - which makes no sense to me with art of this quality. Perhaps he had the name wrong? It's a mystery to me. At any rate, it's at least as early as 19th century (nobody draws like this any more). The paper is rough around the edges, which I actually like, and I would definitely float-frame it to show the edges and present the antique look at its best.
