Award-winning New Orleans artist Les Schmidt has turned his attention this year to portrait photography, and I was actually one of the first to get in line to have my two daughters photographed. Les brings the same artistry and attention to detail to the human face that he has brought to his Dorothy Jean faded flowers series as well as his (new for 2021) large-scale Secret Garden portfolio. The photos shown for sale will be available in limited editions of 20, but you can also have him shoot a custom portrait. Whether a portrait of your children, significant other, parent or even of yourself, rest assured you’ll have a one-off piece of art from a master photographer. Photo shoots can be arranged in New Orleans and travel shoots will be considered. Please send a message and we can discuss details. Prints of various sizes up to 45" x 30" are available.

BIO
Les Schmidt (b. 1960 New Brunswick, NJ) attended the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts from 2003-2004 and has exhibited extensively in the US including Molena and Atlanta, GA; San Jose and Los Angeles, CA; Seaside and Naples, FL; Wichita, KS; Attleboro, MA; Huntsville, AL; Johnson City, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Essex Junction, VT; Portland, OR; Lafayette and New Orleans, LA and Cooperstown, NY and internationally in Budapest, Hungary and Crete, Greece. He’s been a twice selected finalist for Naples Art Association's Camera USA® National Photography Award (2016, 2017) as well as being curated into recent national exhibits held at the Huntsville Museum of Art, Masur Museum of Art, Attleboro Arts Museum and published into Manifest International’s Photography Annual INPHA 6.
