A lovely watercolor of the Horseshoe Cloisters at Windsor Castle, with three Edwardian figures having a chat near the stairway. There's an inscription and the signature "Herbert" but I cannot determine who the artist was. Certainly no amateur! Comes with frame but without the glass, in order to avoid potential damage; just have a plain piece of glass cut at any hardware or frame shop ("museum glass" is rarely needed, so save yourself the expense. Framed is 21.5" x 18", image itself is 12" x 8.5".
