Emerging artist Bryson Whitney explored his southern African-American heritage in this series of works about the Mississippi Delta. This work combines a collaged page from a hymn book with a small town (likely Baptist) church, in a tribute to one of the traditional backbones for the southern black community. Bryson Whitney is currently using the proceeds from his art career to help pay for law school – quite an ambitious fellow!
