Haystacks, 1920-1929
Oil Paint
15 x 21.50 in
Perhaps it was Monet who made it happen, but there’s no doubt haystacks have become a favorite theme for rural landscapes, and this is a very pretty one. The sun lights to top edges of the stacks in golden flashes as cottony cumulus clouds float along in back above low hills in the distance. 15” x 21.5” with frame, 13” x 18” without.
