A perfect example of the great Larry Rivers' super-complex lithograph collages, painstakingly printed and assembled in layers. (Gallery label for $10,500 still attached, as shown in photo.) This one comprises various drawings of his own from his collection (much as in some of his paintings, you see an assortment of his own paintings as part of the scene). Larry Rivers was one of the earliest, if not the earliest, artist to qualify as making Pop Art in America. His "Washington Crossing the Delaware" was painted way back in 1953, when the Abstract Expressionists were slashing away!
