Arthur Suker
Artur Suker, "View of Devonshire", Late 19th Century
Watercolor
18 x 26.50 in
SOLD
A strikingly realistic rendering of a scene at the edge of a placid lake on a cloudy day, by the very well-listed English painter Arthur Suker (1857 - 1902). Watercolor is a notoriously hard medium in which to achieve realism at this level! 18”h x 26.25”w (11”h x 19”w unframed). As all watercolors should be, this one is behind glass, and a shadow is visible in the framed image on the bottom especially along the matting because of glazing reflection.
