After Self-Portrait of Anders Zorn, 1970-1979
Oil Paint
20 x 17 in

This was one of two paintings (I sold the other, though I thought this one better) by Richard Bober, an artist who was a well-known illustrator in the 1970s and did a lot of book covers, magazine illustrations, etc., but was also a fine artist of note. You can look him up on Google. This wonderful sketch was done “after” a self-portrait by 19th-century artist Anders Zorn (see photo of the original). I love the unfinished look; it appears to be oil wash on paper. A great-looking piece that is nicely-framed at a very modest price. 20"h x 17"w (14"h x 11"w unframed)
